President's Welcome

Welcome to the Arizona Historical Foundation. Founded by Senator Barry M. Goldwater, the Foundation is dedicated to preserving Arizona’s rich political, business and legal history. We continue as a strong resource for the community of persons studying Arizona’s fascinating past.

The Foundation, its board of directors and staff are committed to assuring that all who have an interest in Arizona history have access to the important documents in our collection.

If you are a researcher please contact our professional staff. They will gladly assist you in your efforts. If you are interested in preserving Arizona’s history we encourage you to consider joining the Foundation. Be sure to check out our membership page for more information about various membership levels and opportunities.

Take some time to look around our website or visit us in the Hayden Library on the main campus of Arizona State University. We have been around since 1959 and intend to be here far into the future.
